An efficient approach to enhance capacity allocation over Bluetooth network

چکیده
With the current development of mobile devices, short range wireless communications have become more and more popular, and research on short range wireless communications, such as Bluetooth, has gained increasing interest, in industry as well as in academy. This paper analyzes capacity allocation issues in Bluetooth network as convex optimization problem. We formulate the problem of maximizing of total network flows and minimizing the costs of flows. The hybrid distributed capacity allocation scheme HDICA is proposed as an approximated solution of the stated optimization problem that satisfies quality of service requirements and topologically induced constraints in the Bluetooth network, such as node and link capacity limitations. The proposed scheme is decentralized and complies with frequent changes of topology as well as capacity limitations and flow requirements in the network. Simulation shows that the performance of Bluetooth network could be improved by applying the hybrid distributed iterative capacity allocation scheme.

متن کاملEfficient Control Channel Resource Allocation for VoIP in OFDMA-Based Packet Radio Networks
We propose an efficient control channel resource allocation approach to enhance the performance of voice-over-IP (VoIP) in orthogonal frequency division multiple access(OFDMA-) based next generation mobile communication systems. As the long-term evolution (LTE) of universal terrestrial radio access network (UTRAN), evolved UTRAN (E-UTRAN) is the first OFDMA-based packet radio network and thus s...
متن کاملBlueStar: Enabling Efficient Integration Between Bluetooth WPANs and IEEE 802.11 WLANs
Bluetooth is a radio technology for Wireless Personal Area Networking (WPAN) operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM frequency band. So far, there has been little research on how Bluetooth-enabled devices can effectively and efficiently have uninterrupted access to wide area networks (WAN) such as the Internet. We introduce a novel architecture (BlueStar) whereby selected Bluetooth devices, called Bluetoo...
متن کاملASP: An Adaptive Energy-Efficient Polling Algorithm for Bluetooth Piconets
Among the various wireless technologies available today, Bluetooth stands out as the most promising for use in low-power sensor networks. This is especially true for large networks of sensors with low data rates, where Bluetooth’s low power Hold, Sniff, and Park modes could be utilized during periods of low activity to reduce power consumption. One way that these modes can be exploited to reduc...
متن کاملOptimal Multiple FCLs Allocation Considering DG Penetration in Meshed Network With Multi-Level Voltages
Increasing the short circuit current due to the penetration of distributed generations (DGs) in various voltage levels and meshed topology is a basic problem in power systems. Using fault current limiter (FCL) is an efficient approach to mitigate the exceeded short circuit levels. In this paper, a new approach is presented for multiple FCLs locating to decrease short circuit levels in meshed ne...
